Hogle Zoo

It was cold, but it was so worth it...no crowds! And cheaper ticket prices. We basically had the whole zoo to ourselves. I went with my two friends, and old roommates, from college- Ariel and her son Tucker, and Lisa and her son Jae Young. I don't think the kids cared one bit that it was cold, they could have ran around and looked at all the cool animals all day. As long as they got to go wherever they wanted haha. When we came to the lions, Sam walked right up to the glass (which the lion was sitting right on the other side, so they were less than a foot away from each other) and started making kitty noises (clicking her tongue, like she does when she sees cats in our backyard). She also really liked the seal; the glass went all the way to the floor, so we could see them as they swam under water, and the seal had a path he'd repeatedly swim, so Sam giggle each time he swam by.

I had to take my selfie with an elphie. :)
Sam did not like the gorilla...I'm not sure why, but the second she spotted him and he moved she was adamant that we move on.

Circus Time

The circus came to Ogden, and we went to the circus! It was a lot of fun! Sam's favorite part being able to walk up close to the big animals before it started. So we got to see the tigers, elephant, camel, and ponies. My favorite part was the ribbon acrobatics....not sure if that's the technical term, but basically they are flying and twirling way high in the air, from curtains! It was way neat! And definitely takes a lot of muscle to do that. Josh's favorite part were the motorcycles in the gerbil ball. They had two guys on motorcycles, closed in a big metal ball, speeding around in circles. It was quite impressive.

Tiffannie's kids stayed with us while her and Danny went on a cruise. So they came to the fair with us. :) Like Sam's circus outfit...overalls... :)

The Johnson's were all going to come, but Violet wasn't feeling well, so Samson and Eric came. This picture is of Sam and Samson, so that later when they're older we've documented some of their play dates. ;)

We had to get a picture with the elephant, for Taylin mostly.

Wyoming Cousin Fun

After the funeral, Grandma and her kids had a meeting to go over the property and other legalities, so us kids (even though most of us are technical adults, we're still kids cause we're the grandkid generation) were booted out for the night. We went to the Powell Institute building and played there. It was the most fun evening. Some of these cousins I hadn't played with since reunions back when I was chubby cheeked and stole their hats to annoy them. The Ballards brought all kinds of games and shenanigans and then we also played pool, fusbal, and pingpong. Kevin brought foam snow balls and we had the biggest indoor snow ball fight, and most competitive (cause we all got the Cozzens blood running through our veins).
Before snowball mayhem started Larisa and I sat in the corner by the piano and had a soul sister conversation that I will always remember. I love her so much and I'm grateful for her. It was also fun to see her as a cute pregnant lady; the next time I see her she will be a mama!

Wyoming February 2016

Here are the snapshots from the (way too fast) weekend of Grandpa's funeral.
The train threw out candy! Yeah!!! Just like the old days.

Dad showing Sam the electric fence.

Like father like daughter...Sam threw all the rocks everywhere in the greenhouse. She also liked the greenhouse because the cat (with thumbs, no joke!) was in there.

Josh just can't stay away from the greenhouses. :)

My cousin, Nathan, got married to Tiana, who is beautiful and happy. Congrats to them!
Josh got this awesome shot of the magnificent Wyoming moon. Yeah, other states have the same moon, but the view here is exceptional.
