We've been sick all week. :/ Last Saturday we found the Ogden Botanical Gardens and it was a nice and warm day so we walked around their trails. Even though it was warm it was a bit windy so I think Sam picked up a cough from there. And then that cough turned into a stuffy alternating runny nose. And then mom got a sore throat and headache all week. So this week hasn't consisted of anything more than being home bound and exhausted. And reading. But mostly sleeping. Thankfully Josh hasn't gotten it. He's superman though, so I'm not surprised.
This is what we've been doing most of the week:
This is what we think about being sick:
And this is us finally feeling better (meaning I don't have to suction her out every 20 minutes):

She's all smiley and then the camera is there and it's instant inquisitive face. Still pretty darn cute with that curious look of hers. |
I recently finished reading Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. If you are an introvert or know people who are introverts (I'm pretty sure we all know at least one) this is a great read. Now I'm reading On Death and Dying by Elisabeth Ross. Sounds morbid, I know, but death is something we won't escape and this book gives great insight on how to help others as well as how to approach and cope with death ourselves. I wish I would have read this book before I started working hospice because it would have made me a better nurse.
If you are wanting an inspirational story to watch, get on Netflix and watch Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson story. It's amazing. You won't regret it.
Love, Aubrey
