Tallullah Falls

Dad took Friday off work, and Larisa took the whole week off (which was fun, because we got to hang out quite a bit), so we all went to Tallullah Falls! There's lots of stairs. I decided if I ever lived in Georgia it'd be near there, so I could run the stairs as my daily workout. Lots of stairs, but the most magnificent views! We had a good time. Dad and Sam enjoyed shaking the bridge back and forth. It was fun to walk around their visitor center, which has a bunch of animals! We had a great time! And to finish it off we stuffed ourselves with Oinkers BBQ. And then went to Brynna's basketball game! :)

It's always sad to leave when it's time to go. But I had such a good time and will cling to these memories until we make another trip to refresh my mind and heart of the home I love.

Adventures in Georgia

More of the many adventures we had in Georgia. :)

Mom knows the perfect toys to get for Sam. :)

She was chasing the kittens around with the toy they like to chase. She started to hit them with the toy, and wondered why they ran away. Ha!

We ate lots of BBQ! Me, Josh, and Mom ate at Butt Hutt...by far the best bbq I've ever had! After Tallullah Falls we ate at Oinkers, which was also super delicious! On Saturday, everyone (Jazz and Larisa and everyone at home still) met up at Fresh Air BBQ, which is where this snapshot was taken. :)

It's a bummer these shoes didn't fit Sam very well, we had to take them back. But, if I ever find a pair of gold sparkly shoes like that, I am buying them. For me!

Lunch date with the ladies. :)

I got to see baby Peyton at Larisa's appointment. He is healthy as can be. :)

I'm so glad Josh got to come to Georgia too!! :) I sure love him!

The next bunch are from the Athens Stake Nativity they had displayed. It was beyond beautiful. There were so many different nativities and they had a live nativity outside! Then we stayed and listened to the Christmas concert, which was great. Music is a great way to bring the Christ spirit into our lives.

This is during the concert, Sam fell asleep in Anneka's lap. Oh, funny thing...Sam absolutely ADORES Jesse. When he got in the car and sat in the seat behind her (which she's rear facing, so she was looking right at him), he'd smile at her and she'd giggle and hide her face. But it was obvious she was purely delighted by the attention. And that's the way it was all week, anytime Jesse looked at her or smiled she'd giggle.

Home Sweet Home

Trips to Georgia are always a highlight! I am glad that we were able to make it home for a short trip; we had a blast and a half!

These first ones are from all the basketball games we went to. Shelby is the Eagle mascot for all the games, can I hear you yell S-P-I-R-I-T?! Brynna plays on the JV team, and is a great asset to the team. She made some phenomenal passes! Anneka plays on the Varsity team and is very talented. It's fun to watch them play!

Jesse (Anneka's boyfriend) had a birthday and this is what Anneka sent him.

Me and the Eagle! :)

The talent never ends. The next bunch of pictures is from the dance recital. Shelby and Brynna are in a dance class at school. Though they've never taken any classes before this, they are among the stars of the show. It was so much fun watching them perform!! Anneka and her friend did a duet, and Anneka did the choreography for it. She's not in a dance class this semester, but the teacher still allowed her to be in the show. The whole production made me one proud sister, and also made me wish I could dance.
