Helper

This is a quote that a lady from quilting shared last week, talking about the impact we make each week just be simply tying a few quilts. It rings true for many different things in life.
"The power of a waterfall is nothing more than a lot of drips working together."
We are powerful!!
What a good helper :)

Happy Halloween

Sam wasn't sure what to think of Samson's mask.

Sam and Lily :)

We walked by this cat each morning and each time we stopped to pet it. Lily went up to it on day 1. Sam would have nothing to do with it. She still had fun and thought it was a blast but wouldn't touch it. Finally, on Halloween (probably the last day it will be up) she gets the guts to "bop" its nose and brush its teeth.

Skyler went "trick or wake" with the Johnsons. She said it was cold, but fun!

Josh, me, and Ronnie Gayle carved pumpkins! They all turned out awesome! :)

Fall Hike

We had stake conference this past weekend which means we got out of church by noon! So we went on a nice long hike that afternoon.

Trunk or Treat

The fall Halloween party for our ward always has a pretty good turn out. Kids in costumes. Heck, adults in costumes, too! Soups, rootbeer, cake walks, neighbors, Halloween decorations, and the finale: Trunk or Treat. Sam caught on quick to the whole getting candy from all the baskets, and some even give out two! HAha...sugar overload?!!
There's Sam enjoying her cat costume. :) Ignore the smears of go-gurt from last week on the mirror...

I looked in my closet and had the choice of my wedding dress or graduation gown...the graduation gown was not as heavy and hot, and didn't drag the ground. Josh is a fisherman, and Sam a cat.

Look who we found! Josh and I are in a constant battle over which is better, Mario or Luigi. I always play Mario when we compete on the Wii and he always chooses Luigi. :)

Frightmares

Josh and I went on a date to Lagoon Frightmares! Talk about FUNNNN!!! I had never been through a haunted house because it's not my kind of fun, but because Josh went on the Cannabul roller coaster with me I told him I'd go to Frightmares with him. Surprisingly, the adrenaline rush was great, even after the hour (or more) wait in line...I think all the saw-men, zombies, ghosts, clowns, and whatever other Halloween goblin monster creatures there were had a good time too because I laughed and screamed the whole time. And Josh had zero circulation in his hand by the end. But man it was a blast!
It was PACKED at Lagoon since next weekend is the last time it's open for the season...so instead of standing in the line for some of the roller coasters (which weaved all through the park...who waits in line for 2+ hours for a roller coaster?!) (well, I have before, but that's because I didn't have a season pass then...) we rode my FAVORITE ride EVER. Space Scrambler...if you ever go to Lagoon you must ride it and experience pure fun!

Space Scrambler faces!

He was a little creepy...we wanted a picture of us two in the coffin, but he wouldn't move...

I LOVE Ferris Wheels. I think they are romantic and fun. But the line was too long and it's not that romantic. So we went back to Space Scrambler. :)

October

October has been a really fun month so far. I have been trying to focus on enjoying the small things. There is so much joy in life that can be found in small moments. And I'm talking about truly enjoying it...without a camera...without having to post it and get so many likes in order for it to be a great moment. I have been spending less time on my cellular and more time enjoying life, enjoying the people, the moments, the beauties that surround me, and the memories that I'm making. :) So most of what's been going on in October hasn't been documented via pictures, and really it's not much out of the ordinary, but boy have I enjoyed life.
Here's what we did document (I mean I'm not going Amish or anything so I still take pictures....) (no offense to the Amish) (Do the Amish use cameras or phones?) (Maybe Amish wasn't my best comparison seeing as how I don't know much about them):
We went to St. George for the weekend and Richard, AJ, and I did a team triathlon. I ran my best time for a 5K (25:39). :) After the race we went to Snow Canyon and hiked some White Rocks.

Sad day. We lost Sam's pacifier on the road when we went running and I went back and found that it had already been run over. In the next month we are getting rid of all her pacifiers...I am not excited....

Fall time hikes.... love it!

Fall time smiles. Next to mums. Her current favorite book is Chrysanthemum...pretty cute. :)

Evening walk over to the park. :)

Josh caught a big fish! He hasn't been fishing a ton lately but when he has been it was with little luck. He finally broke his streak and caught a big and beautiful fish. :)

Fish dance!

We went to Rexburg last week and Sam had fun sitting on the greenhouse decor.

When Sam was less than 2 months old we took a picture like this the night of Josh's graduation.

Another St. George shot.

I jumped in a pile of leaves the other day on our walk. Sam thought I was crazy, but I had fun. If I lived in Cedar City I would make a pile of leaves from that tree when it drops them and jump in it over and over.

A sweet lady from Josh's work gave us her childhood organ. (not her liver, like an actual musical organ)...it is so much fun to play! Sam and I play it at least 3 times a day.

This was from our evening walk to the park.

In Cedar, we met a friend who is awesome and knows the best pizza places in town. :)

September 16 Photo Dump

Where does the time go? Is it really almost November?!!! Well, here are the rest of the pictures from September, way back when.
Us and some friends from our ward went on a big group date to the Aggies football game. It was SO MUCH FUN!! :)

I probably already posted this picture, but I love it. We spent a lot of the summer eating otter pops on the front porch.

What a cutie!

Each Tuesday Sam and I try our best to make it over to the church to help the ladies from the North Ogden area tie quilts, which go to different places in North Ogden (and around the country...and world?) to children and women and homeless who need help. And a warm blanket.

The ladies all LOVE her...I wonder why?! :)

This is Jesse Norton. Basically the most talented RedCoat. He is awesome!!

We went to this Kangaroo Zoo full of bouncy houses and slides. She's quite the little climber and it's fun to see the pure joy on her face when she slides down the big ones.

We are park fanatics. We go to some park at least 4 times a week. What are we gonna do when it snows?....SLED!

This is at the football game. What a hot date :)

I guess during the winter I can drive down to SLC to this fun indoor theme park for kids. I met up with some old roommates and their kids and rode all their fun rides. :)

There was a week in August that was cold....now that we're almost to November this is how Sam looks each morning. :)

NaCl, anyone?
