Vacation Idaho

My family made the yearly trek out west, and we made LOTS of memories. Lots of aunt time, talking, eating, putting together a yard sale at Nana's, going to the park, Frisbee, bridge jumping, watching Taylin play ultimate Frisbee, seeing old friends, meeting baby Mackay, hanging out with cousins, playing games, going to the movie, eating ice cream, petting the farm animals at Reed's Dairy, getting eaten by mosquitoes, sleeping outside, reading, trying to get Sam to crawl, staying up late, sleeping in, and the list goes on! I wish I would have taken more pictures to capture the fun, so even though I can't deliver on the picture part of the vacation, just know it was an absolute blast!
Good thing Sam is photo-genic. She sure gets camera action alot.

I am master of North American Wildlife Memory. And I'm not even humble about it. Haha. Ok, but I know Brynna and mom will say something to me if I don't include that Brynna did win a game...but that's only because we had the cards lined up in rows...I prefer to scatter them randomly..

One of the thousand selfies.

Two of the thousand selfies. :)

Sam LOVED the swing! I should have taken a video because her squeal of delight was my favorite part!

Hanging out at the yard sale.

Eating lunch at the yard sale. It was so much fun to help Nana and Grandad put together the yard sale! We had a successful two days!

Gosh, I sure love my sisters! Even when they're mad that we don't think they can eat a whole double cheeseburger. (Right, Brynna?) :)

This is an older picture, but I just love it so much, I included it again. :)

Taylin and mom went to the distribution center so after we all spent a long time walking around Deseret Book, we enjoyed the shade outside, sitting on the sidewalk in Rexburg. Yeah, we know, we're cool.

Worn out, so much going on!

Brittany and Glenn Mackay had a beautiful baby boy, Johnathan, and I got to hold the precious TINY human! I forget how small they are! It made me realize just how much Sam has grown in 8 months!

So precious!

Taylin's Ultimate Frisbee team is named The Knights. So the team would chant, "What time is it?" and then they'd all say, "Knight Time!" So when they scored, or did something awesome, or just because, we'd all yell "WHAT TIME IS IT? KNIGHT TIME!" Her team got a big kick out of us, cheerleaders on the sideline. :) We had a good time! Taylin scored!
I'm sure my sisters have lots of pictures from Idaho that I didn't have, but if I wait until I get them all, I'd never post on the blog. So maybe when I get them, I'll just do a late post of random vacation pictures..

Family is the best. We were sad that Skyler wasn't able to come up to Idaho, due to work and school. Josh was able to come for the weekend, which was super fun! And we really miss Larisa and Jazz, who weren't able to make it out west this year. They are loved and we sure are lucky to be a family!

Father's Day

Josh is an amazing man. And a wonderful father to Sam. I am not sure many people realize the great man that he is, because he is quietly good, oh so good. And I love that about him. I appreciate all that he does for our little family. He is selfless and loving and everything good and lovable and respectable.

Frozen Fruit and Movie Night

It's always fun when Skyler's around. Sam loves eating her frozen fruit. And Skyler makes us her famous pumpkin bread. And then we stay up late watching movies (ok ok, so I barely make through one movie), but the late part isn't a lie.

Skyler is wearing her new bike helmet!

Cool kids in town!

She LOVES the bouncer!

Roseville

Taylin will serve her mission in the California Roseville Mission! She reports to the MTC on August 19, 2015 and will serve the Lord in the Roseville area for 18 months. We are so proud of her! She is going to be a great missionary. Her testimony and example are inspiring and I'm so thankful for her good influence in my life. Her smile is so radiant, to match her contagiously happy attitude. Way to go, Taylin!

Catch Up Sommore

We babysat Ben and Erin's kids for the day while they went to Lagoon. We had a good time. I was so impressed with how polite her kids are, they are sweethearts! If you look in the background of this picture, you'll see the golden banana marked with the black X. Yep, we went on a treasure hunt, all mapped out by Travis. Skyler is painting a picture for Taylin, so we can mark where she got her mission call. The kids are pretty entertained by her artistic abilities.

Sam can crawl backwards and roll in circles, but we still haven't mastered the forward motion. Sometimes it aggravates her when she wants a toy in front of her and she ends up scooting backwards...

I fell asleep while Sam was playing with her toys. Josh snapped this picture. She was hitting me with her brush, and I slept right through it.

On one of our trips to Idaho we stopped and visited some of my favorite people of all time, Tee and Liz. Tee and I played our favorite game of North American Wildlife Memory. And I won. No, I creamed her. And Josh had fun with her nerf guns, shooting at the cards.

Catch Up

Here's the latest.
You can't really see them in the picture, but there are geese on the field. Sam got a kick out of them.

Sam is eating my face.

Sam sure loves her Aunt Skyler!

What a handsome man! Gosh, I sure love him.

Taylin got her wisdom teeth out. This is her showing us her chipmunk cheeks and demonstrating that it doesn't hurt when she taps them. She said she wasn't loopy, but it's hard to tell what's just her normal silly self and what's from the medication...haha

Pudding and yogurt for this chipmunk. :)
For Memorial Day we went and visited Josh's grandparent's grave in Bountiful. I never knew them, but I've heard stories and I know that  they were wonderful people.
Sometimes I read Sam stories. This is her favorite part about reading.

She sure eats it up. Literally.

Yummm
Sam is so close to crawling!

Josh had a birthday! He's a whole quarter of a century young! I made him some pictures for his office, since his office walls are all bare. If you look closely, the collage picture looks pretty dang awesome. I am still patting myself on the back for how it turned out.

We love to eat!

She's got a winning smile. We sure are lucky to have this messy munchkin in our lives!
We spent one Saturday afternoon at Mantua Reservoir. It's BEAUTIFUL! Josh enjoyed fishing and Sam and I enjoyed wading int he water. This reservoir has a 4 mile loop around it, which is great for jogging! We had such a good time. Just looking at the picture makes me all warm again. I love sunshine. I love my family. So it was a great day.

Bright and happy.

It's chaco season again.
Dana Burzo came and visited! Her and some friends from Penn State road tripped across the West and stopped here on their way to Salt Lake City! We had such a good time! She's graduated with her Masters in Engineering and has a job in Florida! We use to play soccer growing up, on the best soccer team of all time, Lightning. So many memories! I can't believe how fast time flies.

I told Dana her and her friends should stop by Temple Square and in support of her Mormon friends, take a picture and send it to me. :) So here are her and her friends in front of the Salt Lake City Temple.
Random picture I found of when Skyler first moved in with us. Sam was still in her mama's-girl phase. Sam likes other people now, so that's nice. And she loves Skyler!
A weekend we spent in Idaho, Rulan put us to work in the yard. Which was lots of fun! We planted lots of plants (courtesy of Josh) and enjoyed the nice warm Idaho weather.

Taylin is the neighbor off of Home Improvement. She still has chipmunk cheeks in this picture. Like our work out pants. We all got the memo that day.

Big fishy! Happy Joshy!

I think there are some more photos to catch up with, so stay tuned....
