Solving Problems: A Vlog
This has been a recurring problem, so I told Sam to solve it herself. I've helped her enough that she knows what to do. Here's how it went down...
I know these videos may seem silly, but it's fun to see her solve problems, even small ones like getting down from a chair. :) And then nonchalantly brushing her hair haha... Hope you enjoyed!

A Stroll Around the Temple
We had to run some errands in town last week, and on our home we decided that it was a nice enough day to stop and walk around the temple. We had a delightful time, eating the snow (well Sam ate it, I took pictures haha), walking around the fountain of water, climbing the steps to the temple doors, getting in the way of an 8 year old girl getting baptism pictures taken, and waving at all the people we passed along the way. :)

The Orange Hat
This is the day she found the orange hat. It was a fun, hilarious day. :)
The above video I watched over and over and over...it is so funny. And she put the hat back on and kept running around! She's a little adventurer.
This next one, the one below, is adorable. Sounds like she said, "Aubrey, you're right." Which, let's be honest, she probably did... :)

The Struggle is Real
Sam enjoys riding in the stroller, so I put her in this snow suit when I go on my runs. She use to go completely silent and still when I put it on her, and now she's getting braver (and bigger) so she's figured out how to get up, but not without a struggle. She's also learned to walk on it...to keep herself from slipping...because on the few occasions that she has fallen down she's whacked her head pretty good because her arms are too bundled to catch herself...

Birthday Blessings
Loved. That is how I have felt celebrating my 24th birthday. Sometimes it's easy to feel lonely, forgotten, unimportant, or defeated in life, so it's nice to be reminded that I am indeed loved and appreciated. Which I was so thoughtfully reminded of this past weekend. I thought I had figured out all my birthday presents from Josh...he likes to surprise me, and he always does, but this year I thought I knew all my gifts...which I did. Until he pulls out a package while we're eating at Tucanos. Yep, another surprise. And he can remain crowned King-of-gift-giving.
He contacted over 50 people to write me a letter. If you know me, you know I love letters and cards and stories! Well, I had a whole box full that took me all weekend to read through. And then I read through them again and again, very grateful for the many MANY wonderful people in my life. I was laughing, smiling, choking back tears, and letting the waterworks freely flow as I read through the kind words of my friends and family, reliving the wonderful memories with those I hold dear to my heart. Talk about feeling loved.
So a big thanks to Josh for being so thoughtful in putting this gift together. And a big thanks to everyone who wrote me a letter. I will cherish them forever, and read them often. Your words of love and kindness, and hilarity, and remembrance of past times, and reminding me of the good qualities I have and share, they mean the world to me. :)

Bob Ross Adventure
For Christmas, one of the gifts that Josh got for me was a night of painting instruction at Liquid Canvas. It was such a fun date! There is something inspiring about being able to create beautiful things. I think I'll make this a new hobby of mine...not necessarily the class part, but the painting and creating...I've always walked into Michaels or JoAnn and I never know where to start, so now I have a starting point...paint, canvas, and a brush. And an open mind. Thanks, Josh!

Bubbles
Sam sure loves bubbles! It's kind of nice because I'll blow a bunch and then cook dinner while she pops them all. And the bubble solution is thick, so the bubbles will land on the floor and not pop until she either pokes or steps on them.

Like Father, Like Son, Like Daughter
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And in this case, that's a good thing. I am so blessed to have such a great father-in-law, a wonderful husband, and an adorable daughter who will one day know how lucky she is. :)

New Year
Happy New Year!
Josh and I got a camera this Christmas (our gift to each other) and we have been taking lots of pictures with it! Still trying to figure it all out, but it's been fun. Josh is like his dad and likes to take pictures of scenery...
and pretty women...
It has become a tradition that the weekend after New Years the Wray family gets together. It is alot of fun. Food, laughter, talking, kids running around, and then a white elephant gift exchange...where the true colors shine. It usually starts out that no one takes anyone else's gift, but by the end we are all hiding our gifts and stealing left and right. But it's loads of fun and we all end with smiles on our faces...except the lucky one who got stuck with a roll of toilet paper. ;)
