Georgia: Shelby

It's funny how when we don't see someone for a while we expect them to be the same person they were when we last saw them. 5 years can change a person, especially when they are in their youth and growing and developing their identity. When I left home back in 2010 Shelby and Brynna were still in elementary school. They were still "the babies" (which they probably always will be..) and considered to be "the younger kids." I know I've seen them since then, but just for such short periods of time it's hard to see them as the teenagers they somehow became! But being home for two and half weeks gave me time to get to know them and come to love them even more.

Shelby has a motherly way about her. She naturally just knew how to care for Sam, and was such a big help. All of my sisters were such good babysitters! It was fun to be able to talk with Shelby and leave her fun notes in her journal during general conference. It was fun to see her hold, play with, change, and talk to Sam. She is a fun person and I am proud to call her my sister.

Love, Aubrey
