It's funny how when we don't see someone for a while we expect them to be the same person they were when we last saw them. 5 years can change a person, especially when they are in their youth and growing and developing their identity. When I left home back in 2010 Shelby and Brynna were still in elementary school. They were still "the babies" (which they probably always will be..) and considered to be "the younger kids." I know I've seen them since then, but just for such short periods of time it's hard to see them as the teenagers they somehow became! But being home for two and half weeks gave me time to get to know them and come to love them even more.
Brynna is such a delight to be around. She is smart and funny and a good aunt. She's even a bear! I was sad that her play was happening after I'd already be back in Utah, but I sure know she makes the best baby bear there is out there!
Brynna and I were able to spend some time together as we went to Jaemor Farms to sell an ad for her school program. To see her go in and all by herself talk to the lady about putting an ad in the program for her school play really made me see just what a beautiful young lady she is becoming. She's all grown up! I sure love that girl! And Sam did too!
Love, Aubrey
