Vacation Wyoming

Then we went to Wyoming and had a thousand other adventures! Most of which I failed to document via pictures. Woops. I need to get better about that.. We enjoyed the fresh, brisk Wyoming air, caught up for the year on everyone's lives, celebrated Anneka's birthday, went and bought fireworks, visited more family, went to Billings Montana Temple where Taylin received her endowments, went to HuHot (a super delicious Mongolian Grill, which I highly recommend), played with the dogs, set off Roman Candles, roasted marshmallows on the bonfire, went cliff jumping, celebrated the 4th, watched the parade, went to the family reunion, played volleyball, ate lots of food, watched fireworks, stayed up late, and spent time just sitting around and talking. I loved everything about it. I will forever cherish these memories (even though I didn't take pictures haha). Here are the few I did manage to take.
Funny car ride story: We drove through Yellowstone, and we were stopped on the road for a good 30 minutes because a few bison decided to hang out in the middle of the road. While we were stopped I fed Sam, let Sam play around the car, and then lastly changed her stinky diaper. Our car was packed to the brim with bags and all of us, so the only place to change her diaper was in my seat. I opened the car door, stood outside the car, and changed her as she was laying in my seat. Which wasn't a big deal because traffic was stopped both ways. I'm in the middle of poopy mess when Josh tells me that a semi truck is coming from  behind in the other lane...you've got to be kidding me...but nope, dead serious. There was not enough room in the road for my bum to be hanging out as a semi passed, so I had to hop in the car, mid diaper change. I'm stepping on the bags on the floor, trying not to sit completely on Sam, but trying to avoid being hit by a semi truck, closing the door as much as I can. Sam thought it was hilarious, and we all got a pretty good laugh about it. Point for mom: no poop on the seat!

If you can look past the dirty, bug gutted windows, the view as we drove through Yellowstone was magnificent.

Sam decided she was going to drive.

"Move, bison, Move!"

It's tradition, we had to take a picture at the Yellowstone lake.

We got Anneka a moon for her birthday.

Skyler and Taylin drove through and got a yellowstone picture too. They didn't get a lake picture because they had just passed a really slow car and didn't want to get stuck behind them again...tourists...

Sam's first four wheeler ride. She had a lot of "firsts" in the last two weeks.

What a handsome man!

And fearless Anneka!

Cliff jumping!

All the jumpers! (Of which I was proudly apart!)

Like our farmer's tan?! :)

Taylin WAHOO

Skyler YEHAWW

Brynna WEEEEEE

Anneka KACHOWEE

Larisa got Sam the cutest 4th of July outfit!

Sitting in the traditional parade location! It was HOT

Because it was so hot, Sam got to hang out with Skyler under the nice umbrella.

It was so cute, Sam patriotically waved the flag back and forth. Until she discovered it was just as fun to eat it.

Pink lady! She wasn't running this year, but going just as strong in her pink cast and pink wheelchair!

"Aunt Skyler, it's too hot to smile anymorrrrree"

We got to meet Hilary this year! She's dating (and hopefully marrying!) AJ. We loved meeting her and getting to know her!

This was the only sad part of the trip. Goodbyes are not my favorite. It was SO GOOD to see my family for 2 weeks. I love them so dang much!
We are thankful that we have such good families! And we're thankful that Josh was able to take off work to come to Wyoming, because everything is 10 times more fun with him! :) To have such a wonderful family, good times, a vacation free of accidents/injuries, and a thousand other blessings- I am one lucky girl.

Love, Aubrey
