It's been a while since we've been to Idaho. It was a nice get away for the weekend. As much as we've come to like Utah, we still LOVE love Idaho. Every time we leave we tell each other how much we hope to one day move back.
We got to spend the weekend with Josh's parents and then visit my Nana on Sunday. We got back late on Sunday night...it was the most beautiful drive I've ever been on...we left late in the evening, so the sun was setting...the oranges and pinks and purples in the sky along the horizon were breath taking. The clouds behind the mountains looked like they were on fire. The western mountains were silhouetted against the sunset sky, and the eastern were bright yellow and green with the shadows gradually working their way up the beautiful hills. Dark purple clouds in the distance heralded in a grand lightning storm, of which we drove through its core...so loud! And then just as quickly as it had come, it drifted on in the rear view mirror. But as it got darker the lightning got that much brighter off to the west of us. It was magnificent. And then when we got home, it was dark and clear as can be. No sign of storm, not a single cloud in the sky, just stars sprinkling their light on all of North Ogden. Josh and I put Sam to bed and sat on the front porch admiring the beauties of the world. After we finished our midnight BLT's, we went to bed. It was really a grand weekend.
Rulan got a crochet set on an auction site. So much fun! |
